On March 1, 2012, Emirates Airline launched its inaugural flight from Dubai to Seattle, Washington, “paving the way for a new era in relations between UAE and Pacific Northwest,” reports the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce. As the first non-stop flight between the two regions, community members celebrated this as a milestone that will drive new business and further strengthen commercial relations between the UAE and Pacific Northwest.
