Last night a group of A.C.E. students had the unique opportunity to attend the first regular season game of the Seattle Sounders FC inaugural season. Governor Christine Gregoire and part-owner Drew Carey were both in attendance. The game was held at Seattle’s Qwest Field, and the Sounders faced the New York Red Bull.
While a couple of students had seats in the stands, the rest chanted and cheered with the more hardcore fans in General Admission. Pictured, A.C.E. student Ali and tutor Mike are ready for the game to begin. The Sounders won 3-0, with rookie Fredy Montero scoring two goals in his MLS debut.
