Dr. Firoozeh Papan-Matin, member of the A.C.E. International Advisory Council, is a specialist of Persianate literature and culture and has published on topics in modern and medieval literary genres. She is the author of Beyond Death: The Mystical Teachings of Ayn al-Qudat al-Hamadhani (Brill, 2010);Kashf al-Asrar: The Visionary Autobiography of Ruzbihan al-Baqli (Brill, 2006); and The Love Poetry of Ahmad Shamlu (IBEX, 2005).
Dr. Papan-Matin is currently in India as a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Scholar, conducting research on the early Muslim mystics of India
