Exciting news for World Language & Culture Ambassadors! Marita Paly, the Senior Area Coordinator, has been working for years to develop a program that offers students the opportunity to travel abroad for a purpose. This dream has finally become a reality. On April 14, 2012 she will take 20 middle school and high school students to the Dominican Republic where they will participate in a volunteer service learning project for one week. These are former WLCA students who have continued their language studies and are beginning their international exploration. Marita has teamed up with another non-profit organization, Outreach360, to make this all possible. Check out this article written in the Kitsap Sun about the upcoming trip.
