A.C.E at SPU Welcomes Diverse Group of New Students!

By: Andrew Turgeon, Enrollment Services Coordinator

New student orientation began at the A.C.E. Language Institute at SPU on March 23, 2012. Fourteen students joined from five countries: Tanzania, Switzerland, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Korea.  A.C.E. Student Services Coordinator, Kara Schultheiss, explained how the participatory ESL classes function and the responsibilities and privileges of being an A.C.E. student.  The Enrollment Services team introduced immigration topics through a number of fun skits.  In closing, Tim Healy, A.C.E. Language Institute Director, urged everyone to “participate and have fun!”  This group of diverse students seems ready to take on the adventure when they begin classes on Monday.  Good luck to you all!
