A.C.E. Board of Directors Treasurer Dan Dierdorff repels down Rainier Tower to raise money for Special Olympics of Washington

Dan Dierdorff, EVP/Chief Lending Officer at Fortune Bank and A.C.E. Board of Directors Treasurer, repelled down 41 stories of the Rainier Tower last Saturday, August 13th, in the fundraiser  entitled “Over the Edge”.  More than 200 people participated in this weekend-long event, which raised well over $233,000 for Special Olympics of Washington.  Of his experience, Dan writes:

“It was very exciting to gently push off the side of the building (while releasing the rope brake), falling 10 or 20 feet in the air, maybe 15 feet away from the structure. It took me almost 15 minutes to rappel the entire 514 feet, and some the views of the waterfront and the city were spectacular.

It was a great cause and something I want to do again. I truly enjoyed myself and it was great to have family and friends congratulate me on the ground.”
