While in Istanbul this week, A.C.E. President David Woodward had the opportunity to reconnect with three students from the University of Istanbul who studied at the A.C.E. Language Institute at SPU last summer. Pelin, Rabia, and Merve, along with a number of their fellow students, did a wonderful job of welcoming David to Istanbul and setting up an excellent panel presentation at IU. The four of them participated in the panel together and were received enthusiastically by the 100 students who gathered for the presentation. They also treated David to a wonderful Turkish evening including a traditional dinner, a tour of Old Istanbul and the bridges over the Golden Horn, and an Arabic desert specialty called kanafeh.
