Inside Higher Ed gives a wonderfully in-depth look at for-profit Pathway Programs (alternatively called Bridge Programs) for international students who need extra English training before beginning University studies in the United States. In addition to giving a clear overview of these programs and their many iterations, the article (written by Elizabeth Redden) unpacks Britain-based INTO’s recent troubles expanding into the U.S. market.
The article is well worth reading for anyone new or old to the fields of international or English language education.
