World Language Program Director, Dr. Maka Janikashvili, sends us this note from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, where she has been spending some time since the holidays:
“I’ve had the pleasure of attending some wonderful receptions, one hosted by the Kazakh ambassador, and another by the Indonesian ambassador, Mrs. Inkiriwang. I even had a small chat with the Kazakh ambassador and told him about A.C.E.’s exchange programs. He shared that Kazakhstan sends abroad an enormous amount of students on an annual basis and these programs are fully funding by presidential funds. It was also great to meet with the former president of Bulgaria, Jelu Jelev. He had an opening speech at the Kazakh reception. Bye for now!”
Thanks, Maka! Safe travels, and we’ll see you when you get back.
